I am so scared right now. I was told that i have high levels of Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA) in my blood (i think Ige levels?) and am told i will need predisolone and intraconozole to treat it. I know that predisolone is a steroid and steroids are kind of dangerous so im afraid to take it (even though i will) but i would like to know what Herbs or minerals etc i could take after im off the medication in order to prevent me from getting Asperiligus again…i really dont want to take pred everytime i do get high levels of ABPA in my (Ige?) blood. Do you think Honey will help. since honey is known to be very good for Allergies?
A. We have not studied the role of herbs in the treatment of allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis is a condition characterized by an exaggerated response of the immune system (a hypersensitivity response) to the fungus Aspergillus (most commonly Aspergillus fumigatus). It occurs most often in patients with asthma or cystic fibrosis. Would garlic help? It’s worth a try eating a few cloves a day.

I just wanted to inform you that I’ve finally finished my 8 year literary effort, “Healing Thresholds”. This book covers my work in Taoist Tonic Herbalism, and also discusses the importance of living foods in the diet. These two philosophies combined constitute, what I believe is the most powerful marriage of disciplines for maintenance of total health. Healing Thresholds presents a novel philosophy where I discuss a threshold that divides an organism between states of empowerment and dis-empowerment. I discuss modalities, primarily from a Taoist perspective, on how we might maintain health safely above the threshold of vulnerability- in a state where we are in control of our own destiny. Healing Thresholds discusses;
My own introduction into the healing arts
Becoming a healer with minimal experience
Raw green vegetable juicing
becoming ‘Teamaster” for Master Herbalist Ron Teeguarden
Discussion of the histories of Eastern and Western Medicine
Distinctions between herbs and foods
Why herbs most often must be decocted with heat or fermentation
Explanation of the Yin and Yang energies
A lengthy discussion of Taoist health philosophy, including explanation of the “Three Treasures” (The three basic energies that constitute life), genetic, metabolic and Spiritual health
Herbs that tonify the Three Treasures, includes herbal formulas for tea.
Women’s health; hormones, beauty, blood, metabolism, spiritual, youth.
Men’s health; Endurance, adaptability, cleansing, sexual health
Sexual health, includes exercises for health of the reproductive forces
Longevity and vital old age
Healing Thresholds provides vital herbal decoction formulas, smoothies and juice recipes for enhancing the health in all categories listed above. Healing Thresholds is a modern journey into Taoist health philosophy. I’m very proud to release this book, and can send you an autographed copy. 350 pages with color images. Rehmannia Dean Thomas
